Brewing software for homebrewers
The brewhouse you own.
Build your recipe, run your brew day, follow every fermenter, and see what each change did. Works offline, no subscription, synced to storage you already own.
Runs in your browser on phone, tablet or computer. No account needed.
- Buy once, no subscription
- Works offline
- Your data, your cloud
- AI optional, never required
Your best batch is in a spreadsheet. The notes that explain it are in a notebook, the readings are in your hydrometer's app, and the recipe has changed three times since. Gristmark keeps it all together, and shows you what made the difference.
Write the recipe.
Color, bitterness and strength update as you type, checked against the style.
Brew it, guided.
Strike temperatures, mash steps, hop timers that follow you around the app, and a screen that stays awake.
Learn from it.
Readings become a fermentation curve, and every batch lines up against the last one.
Batch by batch
See what every change did.
Brew your pale ale three times and see v1, v2 and v3 side by side: what you changed going in (more Munich, a cooler mash) and what came out (gravity, attenuation, efficiency, your rating).

How this brew went
Plan against reality.
Every brew gets its own analysis: how close you came to plan, how fast fermentation took off, how well you held temperature, and plain-language findings like “Efficiency was 67% against 72%: check your crush.”
Brew day, guided
Never lose your place.
Your recipe becomes a checklist, with water volumes and temperatures worked out for your equipment. Step mashes and decoctions included, and the timers keep running while you look something up.
Recipes
A recipe builder that does the math.
Color, bitterness, gravity and strength update as you add each grain and hop, with the style's ranges right there. Simple view for extract and BIAB, Detailed view when you want every control. Water chemistry with a mash pH estimate, too.
Fermentation
Follow every fermenter.
Log readings by hand, or connect your own sources: a Tilt logging to Google Sheets, Home Assistant (for an iSpindel, RAPT and more), or any CSV or JSON feed. Exported log files from most hydrometers import in a click.
A real notebook
Handwriting, sketches, boxes to tick, and photos of your paper logs. Light or dark, it still feels like paper.
The cellar
Track grain, hops and yeast, scan barcodes with your phone, and see what you can brew with what's on the shelf.
25 brewing calculators
ABV, priming sugar, strike water, IBU, dilution, refractometer correction, yeast starters and more.
The Brewmaster · optional
Ask about your own brews.
“Why did my last batch finish high?” The Brewmaster reads your own records before it answers. Use your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, a model on your own computer, or pay-as-you-go credits. It's off until you turn it on, and nothing leaves your device unless you send it. AI needs an internet connection; everything else works offline.
Yours, for good
Your recipes live in your vault, not ours.
No account. No subscription. Your brewery lives on your devices and syncs through your own Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox. Export everything whenever you like, recipes as BeerXML included, even to a competitor. If we vanished tomorrow, your app and your files would keep working.
Switching? Bring your recipes from any app that exports BeerXML. Import takes seconds.

Questions brewers ask
Do I need an account?
No. Open it and start brewing.
Where is my data?
On your device, and in your own Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox if you turn on sync. We never see it.
Does it work offline?
Yes, on brew day in the garage with no signal. Only the optional AI needs a connection.
Phones and tablets?
Yes. It runs in your browser and installs to your home screen on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows.
Can I bring my recipes from another app?
Yes. Import any BeerXML file, from BeerSmith, Brewfather, Brewer's Friend and others.
Is the AI required?
No. It's off by default. When you turn it on, you see what's sent and where before anything goes.
Which hydrometers work?
A Tilt through its Google Sheet, anything Home Assistant can see (iSpindel, RAPT and more), any CSV or JSON feed you can publish, and exported log files from most others. Or just type your readings in.
Metric or US units?
Both, with SG or Plato and SRM or EBC. Set it once.
What if you go out of business?
The app keeps working on your devices, and your files stay in your cloud.
I run a small brewery. Is it for me?
For recipes, batch records, fermentation logs and batch-to-batch consistency, yes. It doesn't do sales, keg tracking or excise/TTB reporting yet.
